Larry L. – Beloved husband of Joan C. Mapes nee Jacobs for 55 years. Dear son of the late Louis Mapes & the late Edith Mapes nee Girton.Devoted father of Mike (Kristie) Mapes, Amy Mapes Amann, Lisa (Dave) Seward, Jim (Candace) Mapes, and Rick Mapes. Cherished grandfather of Michael Jr. (Kelly), Amanda (Eric), Charlie Jr., Jake, April E., Brady L., Liz, Nick, Bella, Brady A., Stephanie, Ricky Jr., and Josh. Loving great-grandfather of Ashton, Dominic, and Ryder. Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his brother, Jack Mapes and by his sister, Marion Minnick. Larry passed away on January 14, 2018 at the age of 77 years. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20th from 10 AM until time of the Funeral Service at 12 PM at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, OH 45231. Interment at Arlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
