Heaven has gained a sweet angel that will be forever held in our hearts. Mary Ann, age 61 continued to be her care free, witty self, up until the good lord guided her home on January 11, 2018 at which then she started her new journey. Mary Ann has touched many lives with her heart of gold and soul of silk. She was a very loving person, especially when it came to her kids and grandkids. They were her world! Of course, she also held a special connection with her animals throughout her life, one being Rosie, her fearless sidekick. She was very crafty in many ways, such as the beautiful afghans and throws that she crocheted down to the finest detailed doilies. She also loved to draw beautiful landscapes and many different caricatures. She was one who loved her books (when she could fine her glasses). Many being of “unique” knowledge. All who knew her agreed she would have been great on game shows.
She is survived by her two sons, James (Angie) Ort of Middletown and Thomas (Jennie) Ort of Middletown, nine grandkids: Angel, Victoria, James Jr., Arianna, Scotty, Cody, Lee, Makayla, and Thomas Jr., four great grandkids; one brother, Scott Pate of Oxford and one sister, Sharon (Rick) Blalock of Oxford; nephews, Damon Pate, Dylan (Brandy) Pate, Adam Blalock; and a niece, Britini (Jason) Pence.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Pate.
A visitation will be held at the Ogle and Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, OH on January 19, 2018 from 12:00 PM until time of funeral service at 2:00 PM.
