Norma L. (Dean) Lewis

Norma L. Lewis (nee Dean)- Norma passed away on March 1, 2018 at the age of 103 years. She was a resident of Tri County Care after many years in Lindenwald. A cancer survivor of many years, Norma was a loving, caring and generous person. She was an intelligent, hard working wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Born on the family farm near Mt. Orb, Brown County, Ohio on July 31, 1914, Norma married the love of her life, Claude Vernon Lewis, who preceded her in death in 1992, in Covington, KY on April 9, 1932. She was employed by the Greyhound Corporation and managed the dining rooms at Fisher Body plant for many years. In addition, she operated the Blue Platter lunch room in Shandon as well as clerking in a local grocery. Norma served her country in WWII working in a defense plant. Norma and Claude's youngest son, LT. Colonel Charles Lynn Lewis preceded her in death in 2002, as well as her parents, sisters and brothers. Norma was a faithful servant of our heavenly Father through membership at Lindenwald United Methodist Church and the Congregational church in Shandon. She is survived by Claude Vernon Lewis, Jr (Mary Lou Morris) and family, grandchildren Mick (Mary Jane), Rick, Randy (Michelle), Terry and great-grandchildren Audra, twins Chance and Chase (Mick); Tsuneko (Janet) Kawano  (the late Charles Lynn) and great-grandchildren Norma L. Lewis-Banner (Mike), Bill (Pat), Bruce (Cherie) and great-grandchildren Tabetha and Brock (Sarah) and great great-grandchildren Cheyenne (Tabetha), Kaydance, Brittney (Brock) and the extended family of Cherie Lewis. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 5-6:30pm at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 3950 Pleasant Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45015. Funeral service will be held at Lindenwald United Methodist Church, 3501 Pleasant Ave., Hamilton, OH 45015 at 11AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Interment will take place at Buford Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the church or charity of choice.
