Russell E. Eversole

Eversole, Russell Edwin, beloved husband of Carolynn (King) Eversole for 70 years, loving father of Stuart (Suzy) Eversole, Denise (Dan) Zimmerman. Adoring grandfather of Ben (Kelly) Eversole, Janna (Jeremy) Pionk, Andy (Meagan) Zimmerman, Chris (Lara) Zimmerman, Kory Zimmerman and great grandfather of Noah and Zachary Eversole, Mattie Pionk, Aiden and Colton Zimmerman, Ollie and Frankie Zimmerman. Preceded in death by his parents, Dillard and Hallie Eversole, and his sister, Virginia Eversole. Passed away on March 11, 2019 at the age of 90. Graduated from Reily High School in 1947. Inducted into the Talawanda Athletic Hall of Fame and long-time booster. Retired from Champion Paper Company after 42 years of service. Longtime members of the Oxford United Methodist Church. Loved his life on the farm and was an avid fisherman. He loved his Farmall tractors and Polled Hereford Cattle. He was a member of the Oxford Masonic Lodge and served in the U.S. Army. A Visitation will take place at the Ogle and Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, Ohio 45056 on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 2 pm until 5pm. A Masonic Service will follow at 5 pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 10 am. Interment at Springdale Cemetery in Reily, Ohio with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Reily Township Volunteer Fire Department, 6376 Peoria Road, Reily Road, Oxford, Ohio 45056.
