Thomas Kendrick (T.K.) Wilson, Botany professor at Miami University for 30 years, died July 16 at the age of 87.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nancy Wilson, and by his five children: Laura Wartner (Frank), Atlanta; Becky Maglich (Jeff), Oxford; Tom Wilson (Deb Fine), Kansas City; Bill Wilson, Oxford; and Terry Eklund (Steve), Cincinnati; and 16 grandchildren: Amanda Wartner Stinger (Josh) Seattle; Daniel Wartner, Atlanta; Lydia Maglich Sackett (Tim), Kansas City; Hope Maglich Garcia (Cheque), Dominican Republic; Janoah Maglich, San Francisco; Jon Maglich (Brook Hines), Cincinnati; Joe Maglich, Denver; Josh Driscol, Seattle; Simeon Maglich, Oxford; Natalie Wilson, Kansas City; Erica Wilson Wheeler (Byron), Kansas City; Valerie Wilson Flanagan (Daniel), Kansas City; Rachel Eklund, Cincinnati; Zach Eklund, Cincinnati; Shiloh Eklund, Oxford; and Angela Bridgewater (John), Muskegon, MI. There are 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for September 15, 11 a.m., at the Oxford Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, gifts to the Wilson/Eshbaugh Botany Scholarship Fund, Miami University; the Izaak Walton League, Oxford; or Vitas Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
