Earl "Doug" Deaton

Earl Douglas “Doug”, age 65, of Springfield Township passed away on August 27, 2021. He was born on January 14, 1956, in Richmond, KY to Earl and Helen Deaton. Doug was an engineer for General Electric for 34 years.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jacalyn; father, Earl; brother, Phil (Patti) Deaton; sister-in-law, Connie Goff; ; aunts and uncles, Dorothy Deaton, Carl (Roselyn) Deaton, Bob (Barb) Deaton, Granville Deaton Jr., Richard (Sally) O’Dell, and Jack (Arlene) O’Dell and Jean Deaton; numerous other family and friends.

Doug is preceded in death by his mother, Helen; father-in-law and mother-in- law, Art and Marilyn Keyes; sister in law, Diane McWilliams; aunts and uncles, Vona Deaton, Troy Deaton, Lloyd Deaton; JP (Barb) Deaton, Charlie ( Angellea) Spicer, Earl Spicer, Mitchell (Joyce Ann) Spicer, Jesse (Myrtle) Chadwick, Logan (Clare) Spicer, and Dora Belle Spicer Jennings.

A memorial service will be held on October 16, 2021, at 2 p.m. with John Ashcraft officiating at First Baptist Church, 213 North Main St., Owenton, KY 40359.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be offered to the American Heart Association.
