“Together Again”

Colerain Twp. - Florence M. Goetz, age 97, passed away Friday May 7, 2021 at Berkeley Square Retirement Center in Hamilton OH.  Florence was born October 9th, 1923 in Cincinnati to the late William H. and Ida L. (Zoellner) Muehlenhard. Florence played girls’ basketball at Colerain High School and graduated in 1941.  She worked at P&G a short time before marrying Herbert W. Goetz on April 30th, 1949.  They were married for 53 years until his death on February 14th 2003. Florence volunteered with the Camp Fire Girls, at Providence Hospital, and at Clippard YMCA and was a member of the Colerain Historical Society since 1985. She enjoyed sewing, travelling, and watching sports.  Florence was a lifelong member of St. Paul UCC and resident of Colerain Township until moving to Hamilton,OH in 2012. Florence is survived by her four daughters: Connie (Al) Miller of Coshocton OH, Debbie (Ron) Poynter of Union KY, Cindy (Mike) Goetz-Helton of Lebanon OH, and Beverly (Lee) Marts of Troy OH;  six grandchildren: Rebecca (Chuck) Holbrook of Scottsdale AZ, Darcy (Shane) Thrapp of Bethania NC, Brian (E) Poynter of Independence KY, Wyatt (Lindsey) Miller of Coshocton OH, Bret (Vanessa) Marts of Rootstown OH, and Kevin Helton of Lebanon OH;  and seven great grandchildren: Cayla Coleman & Charlize Poynter, Cameron Bradley, Isla & Dane Marts, and Harley & Liam Thrapp In addition to her husband, Florence was preceded in death by sister Esther Huss, and brothers Herb Muehlenhard, Bob Muehlenhard, Norm Muehlenhard and Bill Muehlenhard. Visitation will be held at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy, OH 45231 on Thursday May 13th from 10:30 AM until time of Funeral Service at Noon. Pastor Allen M.
