Jason McCarty

Jason McCarty – Born February 14th, 1944 to Kash and Emma Dae McCarty; Beloved Husband for 56 years, 14 leap years, to Peggy McCarty married February 29th ,1964; devoted Father of the late Kevin Lee, Stephen Kash McCarty, Jerry Lynn McCarty, Jason Eric McCarty Sr., and Emily Faye (Sam Guffey) McCarty; cherished Grandfather of Brandon, Shayna, Amanda, Megan, Trevor, Jason Eric Jr. “LJ”, Becca, Rhett, Tre’, Alex, Maddi, and Noah; loving Great-Grandfather of Mia, Ashtyn “Cookie”, and Braxton; dear Brother of 2 sisters and 4 brothers; The “Favorite” Uncle to many nieces and nephews – Was called Home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2020 at the age of 76.

Jason graduated from Barber School and soon after earned his GED. He retired from a 31 year long career at General Motors. Jason also worked as a barber part- time at multiple local barbershops in the Cincinnati area both before and after his career. He built a small barbershop on his back porch that he used to give haircuts to family, friends and neighbors. Jason used his gift as a barber to minister and give men their last haircut and shave at home, or in hospitals, before they went on to be with God. His main priority in life was serving God and his church, Morning Star Christian Fellowship. Jason was a selfless person who put everyone before himself. He helped many wandering souls with the wisdom and love that God bestowed upon him. His passing creates a void in all the lives he has impacted over the years and he will be forever missed.

Funeral Services will be private. Jason will be buried at Crown Hill Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be sent to the Morning Star Christian Fellowship.
