John McNay Obituary
John Leeper McNay, Jr. was born on November 23, 1931 to parents Ruby Ann (nee McCall) and John Leeper McNay, Sr. in Bates County, Missouri.
John was the beloved husband of Mary Jane (nee Adelsperger) McNay for 45 years; devoted father of Richard Clark McNay and Karen Ann McNay Bauerle and stepfather to Timothy Aaron Burdsall and Thomas Andrew Burdsall; dear brother of Joseph Claudius McNay and Mary Ann McNay Lawhead.
John was a physician who attended Yale University for his undergraduate work and later graduated from Harvard Medical School. He worked for Eli Lilly & Co. for many years in Indiana and later moved to Hamilton with his wife in the Fall of 2021.
Services for John will be held privately by his family at a later date. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in John’s name may donate to the Eskenazi Healthy Aging Brain Center at 1001 W. 10th St. Indianapolis, IN 46202.
He will be deeply missed.
