Linda York Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Louise York (Linda Lou), 60, of Mt. Healthy, OH on August 7, 2022. She was born on May 14, 1962 to Roy A (Andy) and Nancy C (Ross)York in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Linda attended Mt. Healthy schools and worked over 25 years in Marketing and Sales, a career she was perfect for and enjoyed tremendously. Her work led her to reside in different states over the years but she never forgot where she grew up and finally moved home to be with family and friends. She was extremely talented as an Artist, Writer and Artisan and spent several years perfecting her crafts.

Her enthusiasm for life was infectious and she always tried to live it to the fullest. Linda never met a stranger and her gift for conversation was incredible. She leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her family and friends who were always entertained by her stories and hilarious sense of humor. She truly brought the life to the party. She was kind and generous, sometimes to a fault, and never failed to let us know she loved us.

Linda loved and trusted God. She prayed for her family and friends every day, not quietly but aloud and proud of it. She truly believed he had his plan for her and that he’d show her someday what that was.

Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Herman (Slim) and Ida (Louise) Ross, paternal grandparents Charles and Sophia York, Mother Nancy Lemle (Peaches), Father Roy York (Andy), Aunts Betsy Scholl and Charlene York, Uncle Charles York (Rusty).

She is survived by her Sister Margie and Brother –in-law Jim Couch, Stepfather David Lemle, Cousins; Larry (Sue) DeAtley, Vicki DeAtley, Charlie York, Jim Brockman, John York, Virginia Baird, Elizabeth Curnett. Nephews; Larry (Brian) DeAtley-Ellyson, Daniel DeAtley, Niece Catrina Couch Kolshorn (Johannes), Grandnieces and Grandnephews; Corban, Arin, Jonah and Neve Kolshorn, Brandon, Zoe and Mia DeAtley and Dante DeAtley-Ellyson, as well as other extended family and friends and her fur baby Mimi. Her previous Spouses; Paul Heckler of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Udo Hughes of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Linda excelled in displaying her fighting spirit from birth to her last breath. Her light is gone from the world now but still shines within our hearts forever.
