Marian May Coats – loving Daughter of the late Frances and Albert Shad; devoted

Mother of Daniel Coats; beloved Grandmother of Jonathan Coats and Jaclyn

Coats; dear Great- Grandmother of Leland; and cherished Sister of the late Dick

Shad, Larry Shad, Alan Shad, and Steve Shad – Passed away July 7, 2020 at the age

of 67.

Marian loved to travel; She especially loved going to places full of untouched

natural beauty. She was a lifelong advocate for animal welfare and donated her

time and effort to the cause. Marian also loved local history and worked for the

Coleraine Historical Society. She adopted many cats and dogs who all lived long,

happy lives. Marian was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be

missed by everyone who knew her.

visitation will be held Friday, July 17, 2020, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Paul R. Young
