Mary Joanne Egbers (née Kuertz) , beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Egbers, was born September 12,1932 and entered eternal rest on November 21, 2023 at the age of 91. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Joanne was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Marie (Nieman) Kuertz and grew up in Clifton. She was a long time member of Corpus Christi Church. Prior to Corpus Christi, Joanne and her family were members of St. Ignatius in Monfort Heights. Joanne loved to tell stories and would always talk with a twinkle in her eye and a huge smile. She loved to laugh and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Geoffrey(Cathy) Egbers of Taylor Mill, KY, Teresa (Roger) Leist of Reading, Ginny (Bob) Harrington of Colerain Township, Gregory (Regina) Egbers of Union, KY, Gary (Theresa) Egbers of Independence, KY, former daughter in law, Rose Yanda of Florida, 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a sister, Virginia (Frances) Schmitt of Cincinnati. The past year of life, she had her own visiting angel, Pat who became a true friend and a great help to the family.Joanne is preceded in death by her sister, Marion (Albert) Piepmeyer, and brothers Robert (Aldy) Kuertz, Charles (Ruth and Zula) Kuertz and Leonard (Elizabeth) Kuertz.
A visitation for Joanne will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am with prayers at 10:30 followed by private family time. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am at the church with burial immediately following at St. Mary's Cemetery in St. Bernard. Donations in Joanne's name can be made to Paul's Life Circle supporting the Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic of Cincinnati Children's Hospital or to the National MS Society.
